Who we are

Gamenext is a personal video game collection and tracking application. This policy explains what data we store about you, who we share it with, and how to delete it.

What we collect

• Your email address and password (passwords are stored hashed via bcrypt).
• If you link Steam: your Steam ID, persona name, avatar URL, owned games, and playtime.
• If you link IsThereAnyDeal: your ITAD waitlist (game titles only).
• Game library metadata you create: status, custom tags, notes, play sessions.
• Session cookies used to keep you signed in.

Third parties that process data on our behalf

• Steam (Valve) — we call the Steam Web API using your Steam ID to fetch your owned games, playtime, and profile summary. See Steam's privacy policy.
• IGDB (Twitch / Amazon) — we query IGDB to enrich game records with genres, tags, summaries, release dates, and cover art. We do not send any personally identifying information to IGDB. See IGDB's terms.
• IsThereAnyDeal — if you link your ITAD account, we fetch your waitlist and price information for games in your library.

Cookies

Gamenext sets a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is shown.

How to delete your data

You can unlink Steam and IsThereAnyDeal at any time from your settings. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@gamenext.app and we will remove your account, library, play sessions, and linked third-party identifiers. Backups are rotated within 30 days.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify signed-in users.
